Renewing a Quote

Creating a renewal quote in Owlytica is a very simple process! Instead of starting from scratch, you can simply build off an existing contract, saving you valuable time. Plus, it highlights any changes in assets on the new quote for easy reference.

When you are ready to renew a quote you will want to go to:

  • Sales in the top navigation and then Quote.
  • Click the Add Quote button and select Add Support Quote.
  • Start filling out the quote as usual:
    • Choose a Company.
    • Under Quote Type choose Renewal.
    • The Contract Number dropdown will populate with contracts up for renewal. Pick the one you want to renew.You will see items auto-populate based on the previous contract such as Contract Information, Billing Location, Original Coverage dates, Original Contract Amount and Sales Rep. Feel free to make any changes that are needed.
    • You will want to indicate the New Coverage Dates.   The new coverage start date is pre-populated with the first day after the original coverage end date but is editable.
    • You can change the Quote Status as needed. It will be pre-populated as Draft.
  • Click the Assets tab and you will see that the system auto-populate the assets from the previous contract.  You can easily adjust any asset as needed.
    • You can remove assets by clicking the checkbox next to the asset and then clicking the Delete Selected Asset button.

    • Click the Add Asset button to add new assets to the quote.
    • When you are done click the Save button.

A helpful feature is that when you download a renewal quote you will be able to easily see which items have been removed or added from the previous contract.

To export a quote:

  • Go to the Actions button and then choose Export Quote from the drop-down list.
  • Save the file to your local machine and then open it to view the quote.
